How do you think it feels to wear a victorian corset and gown for an evening?

I have read loads of sources on victorian costume and many conflict as to what life was like for victorian women regards their dress.

I wondered if anyone else had any experience or a good idea as to the truth.

i have worn them for costume parties...they are after a while somewhat uncomfortable...but its fun and u sort of get used to it and enjoy the moment....plus it makes me feel dressed up(which people nowadays don't do enough) and very feminine....it exemplifies the differences in men and women...

Jimsgirl August 11, 2009 at 3:42 pm: I bet they were very uncomfortable and they probably felt like they were being squeezed to death… I am so very thankful that they are not in style now. lol but then I don’t usually have the money to dress in style anyway so I guess I wont ever have t o worry about wearing one of them!!! lol
